If you’re not skiing, why not explore the resort on foot? Lech offers 40 km of beautifully maintained trails and pathways for winter hiking, leading through frosty forests or around the frozen lake. Take a walk through this snowy landscape and appreciate the beauty of your surroundings.
Lech is also home to the toboggan run, running from Oberlech (above the village of Lech, easily connected by a gondola running 8 am until 1 am) all the way back down into Lech, a 1.2km run, lit up at night. This is a Lech highlight making it the perfect evening activity for both children and parents alike.

The area surrounding Lech boasts some incredible 2000m+ hikes to challenge those who are surefooted and who have a head for heights, including the summits of Spuller Schafberg and Braunarlspitze. Alternatively, take a calm meander along the Lechweg trail, following the twists and turns of the river from the source through the stunning landscape all the way to an impressive waterfall at the end. Hiking trails are clearly marked and colour coded by difficulty, allowing you to explore the scenery at your own pace.

Lech is home to the highest golf course in Austria, situated at 1500m above sea level, where stunning alpine scenery sets set the backdrop for your game. Designed by landscape architects, the 9-hole, 19-hectare course is harmoniously embedded in the rolling hills of the Zugertal valley, and you’ll be spoiled with jaw-dropping views at every tee. Golf fans should be sure to diarise the “Best of the Alps Golf Tournament”, an international tournament taking place during the summer months at 10 of the Alps’ most beautiful golf courses, including this one.

Discover Lech’s tranquil 25m forest swimming pool, nestled amongst the pine trees.
